Job Description

Job Title: (2IC) Site Lead 

Position

We are seeking a creative mind who welcomes opportunities to work individually and as part of a team. As a (2IC) Site Lead, you must be able to manage all GEBM labor personnel for a large project. You must be able to manage and direct a team of Skilled Labor team members and temporary workers to meet the objectives of the GEBM Project Manager and client. The (2IC) Site Lead is expected to follow the directions of GEBM Project Managers, Regional Project Managers and members of our executive team.

Job Duties
  • Commands Project Teams: The (2IC) Site Lead is the primary buffer between the projects labor force and the GEBM Project Manager. As such the (2IC) Site Lead is responsible for all project teams under their command and takes on sole responsibility for the management of their teams to fulfill the vision of the GEBM Project Manager and their prospective client.
  • Active Labor Management: Must maintain a constant awareness of all work in-progress and be able to relay information to the GEBM Project Manager on the fly, at any given time of the day. Requires proficiency using available labor tracking tools.
  • Resolving Personnel Disputes: Must be able to effectively resolve personnel disputes within any of the labor groups onsite. If a solution cannot be reached must use appropriate procedures to escalate the issue to your direct manager or the onsite GEBM Project Manager.
  • Team Lead Development: The (2IC) Site Lead is the primary trainer of new GEBM Team Leads. You will follow appropriate training procedures to assist with the ongoing development of GEBM personnel – organize and gather data for performance reviews.

Qualified applicants would meet the following criteria:
  • 5+ years of experience in warehouse or construction
  • Active industry certifications for OSHA 10, AWP and/or warehouse/industrial forklift operation
  • High school degree or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience managing construction crews a plus

The Location

Travel is required. Work sites are out-of-state and at the request of our clients. Site Leads should expect to be away from home for between six (6) weeks to three (3) months at a time. GEBM covers all travel costs (flights, lodging and rental cars).

Team members should expect to be scheduled for work as per client/customer needs. This may include work weeks more than forty (40) hours, weekend and/or overnight shifts.


Compensation and Payroll Schedule

Site Leads are an hourly, non-exempt position. GEBM operates on a weekly pay schedule and adheres to all local and federal tax policies. Team members are also eligible for a per diem when located at on-site (away from home) projects.


Work Environment

The ideal candidate would possess the ability to manage all project tasks for all needs within a large project or side-projects. They will be expected to complete all required paperwork for all assigned teams, in various mediums and software systems. They are the responsible party for quality control of all task for assigned project and should feel comfortable operating as root-cause analysis experts who exhibit advanced communication skills.

The ideal candidate will learn and comply to GEBM operating procedures and best practices for all types of work, including but not limited to administrative/computer and inventory procedures/procedures.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to sixty (60) pounds, and be able to use appropriate support equipment to lift and move greater amounts. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Employee is required to use properly use such safety equipment as is appropriate to the work to prevent injury to self or others.
